Laura Boné,
Founding Executive Director

Laura provides interim leadership to Emerald Glen in the areas of
sponsorship and fundraising, donor and public relations, project
management and organizational development. Since 2001 Laura was an
integral player in the launch of Sponsorwise, accompany providing a
web-based platform for the submission of sponsorship and charitable
contribution proposals to corporations. Laura possesses an in-depth
understanding of the inner-workings of America’s largest corporate
sponsors of sports, entertainment and charitable giving.
Laura’s corporate clients have included Microsoft, JetBlue, U.S. Bank,
New Balance, Exxon Mobil, Verizon Wireless, Hyundai Motor America,
Jaguar/Land Rover, Hershey, Snapple, Bacardi and others.
Prior to 2001, Laura managed motorsports sponsorship and events at
Informix Software. Prior to that, she worked in a variety of capacities
within the real estate and development industry in both Wisconsin and
California, including title and escrow, home and land sales, custom
homebuilding and land acquisition for new construction.
Laura is the Granddaughter of Ed and Fran Logue, who were among the
founding members of the Walpert Center, and is the niece of Kathryn
Logue, a future Emerald Glen Resident. Laura also cares for her aunt
Kathryn and her best friend Lupe Castro at home.
Lawrence H.
Mathers Jr., MD - Founding President
Dr. Lawrence Mathers Jr., M.D.,
Founder and President of Emerald Glen Homes, was found dead in his San
Carlos home on Wednesday night, February 21st, 2007 at the age of 62.
The cause of his death has yet to be determined.

Jeffery K.
Perkins, LLB – Emerald Glen Counsel & Acting President
Jeffery Perkins has been engaged in the practice of law in San
Francisco for more than 30 years. He is a 1966 graduate of U.C.
Berkeley, and a 1969 graduate of Hastings College of Law in San
Francisco. After returning from Military Service he began his practice
and has partnered in litigation with Joseph Alioto and Frederick Firth,
among many other notable attorneys in San Francisco. He is a life-long
friend of Dr. Lawrence Mathers and Beth Jones, who is one of the
prospective residents looking forward to the completion of the Emerald
Glen Project as her permanent home.
He has continued significant involvement with this project, serving on
the Emerald Glen Board, and providing legal services to many of the
handicapped clients and their families involved with the Emerald Glen
project.
Mr. Perkins plans to continue his involvement in the creation of
Emerald Glen and its ongoing successful operation.
Jean
Rolf, Secretary

As one of the founding members of the Walpert Center, Jean has worked
tirelessly for over 50 years to further the mission of ensuring a
quality life for California’s developmentally disabled population. Jean
also served on a State Board whose most noteworthy contribution was the
establishment of the “Lanterman Act”, now widely recognized as the
California Civil Rights Act for the Developmentally Disabled.
Jean serves both the Walpert and Emerald Glen boards, and has long
envisioned the day when permanent housing would be made available on the
Walpert site to provide for this under-served population. Jean was
instrumental in leading the Walpert Board to donate land and partner
with Emerald Glen’s founder, Lawrence Mathers, M.D., in the construction
of Emerald Glen Homes. Jean is the parent of Susan Rolf, age 55, who
looks forward to residing at Emerald Glen.
Moses
Guillory, Treasurer

Moses Guillory is the co-owner and managing partner of Diablo Realty in
Walnut Creek, a medium-sized firm staffed with over 50 employees and
agents. After attending college and serving two years in the United
States Army, Moses worked as a steel fabricator, design draftsman and
supervisor at United States Steel Corporation. Moses founded Diablo
Realty in 1985 and handles general buying and selling transactions, 1031
tax exchanges, property management and is a popular instructor. Moses
has been a Real Estate Broker for nearly 30 years and is the recipient
of numerous awards in real estate.
Moses' designations include the National Association of Realtors,
California Association of Realtors, and associations spanning Contra
Costa, San Francisco, Napa, and Sonoma counties. Moses has served on the
Contra Costa Board of Realtors in the capacities of Chairman of the
Budget and Ethics committees.
Moses is committed toward furthering Emerald Glen’s mission of
developing quality new homes for the developmentally disabled in Alameda
County.
Judy
Needham, General Board Member
Judy gained a first-hand understanding of the challenges of the
Developmentally Disabled and their families when she was a teenager.
Judy is the eldest daughter of Edward and Fran Logue, founding members
of the Walpert Center, and sister of Kathryn Logue, who has Down
Syndrome.
Judy now cares for her sister Kathryn and her best friend at home
because she was unable to secure a suitable home for Kathryn in the
neighboring community care setting.
Alice
Thomason, General Board Member
In addition to her service on the Emerald Glen Board of Directors,
Alice is a founding member and current President of the Walpert
Association. Alice has selflessly devoted a lifetime of service toward
building the success of the Walpert organization and ensuring its
attendees are supported in education, vocation and recreation
opportunities. Alice’s daughter will reside at Emerald Glen Homes.
